Noah is a 9-year-old girl who just moved to Benac’h, an island off the Brittany coast, where her mother has found a job as a waitress in a mussels restaurant. Benac’h is a small island where all kids have known each other forever, so Noah’s arrival doesn’t go unnoticed. She quickly gets nicknamed “Mussels” - in reference to the restaurant located above her home.

Noah soon finds out that the primary activity for the island’s kids, outside of school, is sailing, and she’d just love to be part of it - as well as taking part in the annual regatta! However, her mother can’t afford to pay for sailing classes. Through her courage and determination, with a little help from an intriguing former female navigator, Noah finds a way to learn how to sail on her own!
